Coven Craft Cards was born in January 2005 as a result of Liz, Mandy and Michelle trying to find something constructive to do with their free time in the cold winter months here in the Borders of Scotland.
Basically as women, we were never off the telephone to each other and usually converged on mum’s house at night for a good old gossip. But we needed something that would get us working together as well as still giving us the chance to have a chat and a laugh and we decided to try our hand at card making. The feedback we obtained from friends, family and complete strangers has been extremely encouraging, so here we are.
During the past year we have concentrated on building up a stock of cards but we have also been commissioned to do various one-off personal cards for births, christenings, weddings, wedding anniversaries and retirements. We have even been asked to provide all the invitations, reply cards, table tents and thank you cards for a Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Our cards are sent off by friends, family, work colleagues etc. to places
such as Canada, America, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. People have told us
they loved the card they received so much that they put it into a photo frame
as a keepsake. Even we could not have imagined that our cards would one day be sold at the famous Stobo Castle Health Spa, which lies in the heart of the Scottish Borders
and is frequented by the rich and famous.
